Airports in India
India has well developed domestic and international airports and all the main
cities of India are well connected to each other. According to the classification
made by Indian airport authorities, five major airports have been declared as
International airports in India.
These include The Mumbai (Bombay), Delhi, Chennai (Madras), Calcutta and Thiruvananthapuram.
These International airports cater to the needs of 85% of the international
and 50% of the domestic needs of the people.
New Delhi
Being the capital city of India, Delhi is the most significant city of India.

The Sahar International airport of Mumbai has recently been renamed as Chattrpati
Shivaji International Airport. It is one of the major international airports

is at the distance of 30 km from the city center. It takes 1 to 2 hrs to reach
the Sahar International Airport. Prepaid taxis are available outside the airport

Calcutta or Kolkata
