Day 1: Bhubaneswar Arrive and
transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Bhubaneswar Morning city tour of
Bhubaneswar. The well planned capital of Orissa, is a city of temples. It
had 7000 temples at one time of which more than 500 remain today. These
temples built over a period of one thousand years reflect the grandeur of
high quality workmanship of Kalinga (ancient name of the State) temple art.
Visit Temples like,
PARASURAMESWAR
(7th A.D.) famous for its latticed windows,
MUKTESWAR (10th A.D.)
with its profusion of wall carvings,
LINGARAJ (11th A.D.) dominates
the landscape rising to a high of 46 Mts. and finest representation of
Kalinga Art,
BINDUSAGAR the Ocean drop tank,
RAJARANI (11th
A.D.) with its Exquisite carvings and many more is a must for the
visitors. Afternoon visit the twin hill
UDAYAGIRI & KHANDAGIRI
the Jain Caves. Excavated in between 2nd & 1st century B.C. By the
famous king of Kalinga, named
KHARAVELA, was the rain resort of Jain
Monks. It is one of the earliest specimens of cave architecture of India.
Enjoy the lovely sunset on the small hill. Back to Hotel, Overnight at
Hotel.
Day 3: Bhubaneswar-Pipili-Puri-Konark-Bhubaneswar
Morning proceed to Puri enroute visit the colourful patch work village
Pipli. Proceed to Puri, one of the four celebrated religious centers of
India, is famous all over the world for the great temple of Lord Jagannath
situated on the cost of Bay of Bengal is a town of eternal festival. Because
of the intense religious importance and hallowed tradition non-Hindus are
not allowed within the Temple complex.
Lunch on the Beach side
restaurant. Later proceed to Konark enroute visit the wonderful and
beautiful fishing village. Konark the magnificent
SUN TEMPLE of
India sheer poetry in stone is known as Black Pagoda. This 13th century
temple is a magnet to the visitors from all over the world. The temple is in
the architectural images of the mythical chariot of the Sun God here the
Kalingan temple style has reached in its grand climax stage. The left
structure standing among the sand dunes of the Seashore is the most
impressive of the Orissa temples the horses at the entrance the encircling
friezes, the chariot wheels are executed with exuberance. Continue drive to
Bhubaneswar through the lovely countryside.
Day 4:
Bhubaneswar Transfer to Bhubaneswar airport/ station.

Bhubaneswar-Ratnagiri-Latitgiri-Udayagiri-Bhubaneswar A full
day trip to the wonder triangle-RATNAGIRI, LALITGIRI & UDAYAGIRI
situated 100 KM to the north east of Bhubaneswar possess the ruins of the
most unique Buddhist monastic complex in the world. All the monasteries
impress the visitors as great monuments by their sculptural wealth &
architectural grandeur. Enroute visit some beautiful roadside villages with
traditional paintings. Back to the Hotel. O/N.

Bhubaneswar-Hirapur-Bhubaneswar (Half Day) Morning trip to the
64 YOGINI temple. Although it seems that, temple of this type existed
throughout Orissa & India at one time, today only four remains. Two of
them are in Orissa, On the outskirts of the capital city one of the temple
stands inside the lovely country side. Visit the beautiful Bell metal work
village known as Balakati. Back to Hotel.

Bhubaneswar-Chilika Lake-Bhubaneswar Chilika, the biggest
brackish wetland of Asia is regarded as a marvel of nature. Connected to the
Bay of Bengal with a narrow channel. Its dazzling blue water, its
Isles and Hillocks, the lovely birds the fisher folks with their traditional
fishing boats floating on its shinning blue surface, all make it very
fascinating. Cruise to the famous Kalijai temple inside the lake of the Birds
is an unforgettable experience. NALABANA, the winter home of a Million of
migratory birds (Best Time-Mid Oct-Feb). Lunch in the Restaurant: - You can
have the wonderful take of lakes crab curry and prawns pulao O/N.
Later drive to Bhubaneswar enroute visit some local villages.
