The club is over 100 years old and owes its existence to the royal families who over a period of time donated land and money for building various facilities. CONNAUGHT HOUSE, Mt. Abu
Connaught House in Mt. Abu was formerly the official summer residence of Sir Donald field, Chief Minister of the Princely State of Jodhpur. It is still with the Maharaja of Jodhpur and is available to tourists and holidaymakers.
Connaught House is in a very good condition. New rooms have been added to the old cottages. The location of the cottage gives it complete privacy and allows the tourist to enjoy a quiet and peaceful holiday. The main market place and the famous Nakki Lake are within walking distance.
Special features: Ideal for leisure activities and for generally taking it easy. Guests are encouraged to spend their time just relaxing and doing nothing.

LAXMI VILAS PALACE, Bharatpur
Bharatpur lies close to the Uttar Pradesh border. It was dominated by Jat rulers from 17th century onwards. Suraj Mal, perhaps the greatest ruler of this region, started work on the famous Lohagarh, or the Iron Fort in 1732. The fort took sixty years to build and is still the focal point of this town. Other than the fort, Bharatpur is visited mainly for the Keoladeo Ghana National Park. Noh and Mallah are two villages worth a visit. Close to Bharatpur are Deeg (34 kms), known for its palaces and gardens & Dholpur for its sandstone.
Special Feature: Tours and excursions to Keoladeo National Park (Bharatpur), Taj Mahal (Agra), Fatehpur Sikri and Deeg Palace are some of the nearby excursion points which can be arranged. The place is so placed that it is possible to see migratory birds fly to and from the nearby National Park.

CHANDRA MAHAL HAVELI, Peharsar
Chandra Mahal Haveli is situated 30 kms from Bharatpur in a village originally called Lohagarh but later renamed Peharsar. Legend has it that it was captured in just three hours by Sultan Mahmud. name . the Haveli was built by rich Muslim nobles in the 1850s and its proximity to the Mughal Durbar is apparent in the architecture which reminds one of Fatehpur Sikri.
Special Feature: the Ghana Bird Sanctuary, Bharatpur is just 23 kms away. Visits to villages where carpet weavers can be seen at work can be organized. Folk music and dance, cultural shows, boating and jeep safaris can be arranged on request.
